RRTO Standard 11 Induction - RPL (Challenge Test)
Cost: $650 (Compared to classroom RRTO Standard 11 Induction - 3 days - $895)
RPL for the RRTO Induction – Standard 11 is covered over haf a day in a classroom and involves the following steps:
Step 1 – Provide information of your skills and experience
To ensure your RPL runs smoothly you must provide proof of your skills and experience. Examples of evidence must include:
- GI passport (current or expired in last 3 months)
- Statements of attainment for RIIRIS201A Conduct local risk assessment and RIIERR205A Apply initial response first aid or equivalent
Your evidence may also include documents collected during the course of your career. For example, current certificates, Job Safety Procedures/Job Safety Analyses that you have completed and signed and any licenses or tickets that you currently hold. You will also need to supply contact details of one or two work referees who can confirm your skills in the industry.
Step 2 – Complete a challenge test
This is a written test that will test your understanding and knowledge of the various criteria.
Step 3 – Competency conversation with assessor
An assessor will review the information you have provided and match up your skills to the units in the qualification.
At this point, you will have the opportunity to discuss and identify your previous experience with the assessor who will understand your industry experience and conduct a competency conversation with you.
You will be required to answer industry related questions to identify your current skills.

- RIIOHS201A: Work safely and follow OHS policies and procedures
- RIIRIS201A: Conduct local risk control
- RIIERR205A: Apply initial response First Aid
- RIIERR302A: Respond to local emergencies and incidents
- RIIERR203A: Escape from hazardous situation unaided (underground only)

Cost: $645 (Compared to classroom MSSS - 2 days - $695)

How long does RPL take?
The time frame for completion will depend on your experience. RPL for the RRTO Induction - Standard 11 is completed over one day in the classroom.
