Showcasing trade careers around the state
With expo season in full swing, the Axial team have been actively promoting trade careers at events attended by young people, educators and parents.

Many young people are unaware of the career advantages of learning a trade or are unsure of the process involved with finding and starting an apprenticeship.

Axial training consultant Mark presented the benefits of traineeship and apprenticeship trade training in the regional townships of Kingaroy, Noosa, Burpengary, Kawana and Narangba, while Rebekah, training consultant for the Brisbane and Gold Coast areas, hosted a stand at Flagstone State Community College attended by over 1,000 students.
These events are invaluable for industry and training representatives who are keen to engage with the next generation of Australia’s workforce.
“Career expos today are increasingly driven by local industry, and employers are encouraged to host interactive stands that actively engage young people."
"At many of these events, secondary school students can learn and practice trade skills with the support of local tradespeople, vocational trainers, and current apprentices. It's a great forum for promoting the trades.” says Mark.
