- Axial conducts all training, including managing on-the-job training bookings, training plans and apprentice progress.
- Axial is the legal employer – apprentices are directly indentured through Axial which minimises the risk to the host business.
- Our payroll department pays the apprentice on a weekly basis under the correct Industrial Instrument.
- We issue, you, the host business with a weekly invoice only for those hours that the apprentice works for you.
- We offer flexible hiring durations so you don’t need to stress about long-term contracts or permanent employment.

- We maintain apprentice records in a confidential and secure manner.
- Our team provide ongoing support to the apprentices and you, the host business, throughout the apprenticeship. An experienced industry consultant will become the one point of contact and will provide ongoing support.

At Axial, it’s our aim to ensure hosting an apprentice is a cost effective and successful experience for your business. We will look after the following:
- Preparing the contract of employment
- Recruiting the apprentice
- Sign up and induction processes
- Completing paperwork and government forms
- Supplying the apprentice with uniforms and tools
- Managing the training requirements of the apprentice including training bookings
- Delivering on-the-job training
- Ensuring the apprentice completes training and study time
- Observing your business policies and proceduresInvoicing your business for the hours worked by the apprentice
- Assisting with accident and incident management
- Dealing with any Workcover or rehabilitation issues
- Monitoring progression to ensure the apprentice stays on track
Apprentice responsibilities:
- Following all your lawful instructions
- Observing your business policies and procedures
- Completing their training and study time
- Helping to maintain a safe working environment
Your responsibilities as the host business:
- Ensuring the apprentice has the right scope of work to allow progression through the apprenticeship
- Maintaining a safe working environment
- Allowing study time each week, usually 1 - 2 hours
- Paying the weekly on-hire invoice promptly
What do I get for my money?
Axial looks after all the obligations of having an apprentice including payroll, benefits, entitlements, superannuation, insurances, legal obligations of the training contract, managing the training process and delivery of the training.
One invoice will be issued each week for only the time spent by the apprentice in your workshop.
